Collecting UNESCO cards has made my must visit list much longer than I ever thought. A medieval town like Bradejov really fits the category of places I like to visit. Maybe one day I get to explore some of Slovakia's UNESCO sites.
The town of Bardejov, located in north-eastern Slovakia, is a small but exceptionally complete and well-preserved example of a fortified medieval town, which typifies the urbanisation in this region.
Bardejov is dominated by the monumental church of St. Aegidius, mentioned for the first time in 1247. A three nave basilica with multiple chapels was completed by the 15th century. It hosts eleven precious Gothic winged altars with panel paintings. - in: wikipedia

The unspoiled town cobbled square is a picture postcard view of town life in late medieval and early renaissance Europe. The dominant theme is rows of affluent merchants’ houses of German influence, each with its own variations of pastel colouring, roofing and other details. - in: https://www.slovakia.com/bardejov/
