This is a map card showing the West Frisian Islands, off the north coast of the Nethlerlands. The lighthouse is located on the Ameland island. "Ameland’s lighthouse was built in 1880 to a height of 55 meters, and served our county well for over 125 years. In 2005 the coastguard stopped using the lighthouse as modern technology took over its function. This beautiful Amsterdam card is my 300th official card!! It shows the Keizersgracht, the second and widest of the three major canals in the city centre of Amsterdam, in between Herengracht and Prinsengracht. It is named after Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor.
