Rogers Centre, formerly known as SkyDome, is Toronto's multi-purpose stadium and is home to the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club and the Toronto Argonauts Football Team. The facility's versatility allows it to accommodate a variety of events suited for an arena, a domed stadium or an open-air facility. The Rogers Centre is famous for being the 1st stadium to have a fully retractable motorized roof, as well as a 348-room hotel attached to it, with 70 rooms overlooking the field. The retractable roof takes 20 minutes to fully open or close and rises to a height of 282 feet, high enough for a 31 storey building at the centre.
The Rogers Centre contains 143.000 square feet of exhibition space, allowing it to host a variety of events year round, including large scale rock concerts.
