RAS cards

4 cards today, all of them RAS cards :P What a nice way to start the week.

This great card with vulcanoes in Chaîne de Puys-de-Dôme, was sent by Valerie "octabis". I love, love vulcanoes, don't ask me why!!

"Puy-de-Dôme is a large lava dome and one of the youngest volcanoes in the Chaîne des Puys region of Massif Central in south-central France. Curiously, this chain of volcanoes including numerous cinder cones, lava domes, and maars is located far from the edge of any tectonic plate. Puy-de-Dôme is located approximately 10 km away from Clermont-Ferrand. The Puy-de-Dôme département is named after the volcano." - in: wikipedia

This card and the next 2, were sent by Helena "leninha". On my wishlist for some portuguese places i had the Abrantes Castle, she said she was going to send me 1 card but she sent 3 cards. Obrigada Helena :)

This is an aerial view of Abrantes, the city where Helena was born. I've only been to this city once.

This is the castle on the top of the hill and an elementary school.
"Located on a hillside overlooking the River Tagus, Abrantes had once a great strategic importance, namely during the Christian Reconquest (12th century) and the Peninsular War. The castle and fortress is a reminder of this historical role: built by the first king of Portugal, Afonso Henriques, it was used for military purposes until the 20th century." - in:

Another view of the walls and some houses.
