The Alpe di Siusi is regarded as one of the most fabulous landscapes in the Dolomites.
Siusi is situated at 1004 m above sea level on an uneven, sunny plateau at the foot of the alpine pasture Alpe di Siusi and the Sciliar massif with its two famous peaks “Santner” and “Euringer”, embedded in dense forests and wide meadows and fields. Northwards and westwards the view reaches the snow covered three thousand metre peaks of the main chain of the Alps.
Despite its humble beginnings at the turn of the Twentieth century, Siusi has become one of the most important, beautiful and most rich in tradition tourist destinations of the country. - in: http://www.siusi.it/en/siusi-allo-sciliar.html
