Monthly Fav. Surprise RR - November '20

One more post and I'm done with MFS RR cards, well, for now.
In November I've received cards from China, Netherlands, Russia and Germany.

Shantang Street, also called Seven-mile Shantang, is a prosperous ancient street block built in 852 AD. Visiting this old place, you will see many featured old houses selling local food, delicate handicrafts and feel the real flavor of old Suzhou and Wu culture in ancient times. - inhttps://www.chinadiscovery.com
This beautiful snowy night view of Suszhou was sent by alaxos.

Désirée said she saw this card on my favorites wall but that isn't exactly true. I've other star forts on my wall but not this one in Naarden.
Naarden is a small town located to the east of Amsterdam, famous for its ‘star fort’ grid which resembles a giant snowflake from the air.
Naarden forms part of the historic Defence Line of Amsterdam, a 135-kilometre-long ring of fortifications around the city. With its classical town centre still encompassed by two elaborate star-shaped moats and stone walls, it’s one of the most remarkable examples of a fortified town in Europe, and a perfectly preserved piece of Dutch defensive history. - in: https://www.iamsterdam.com

What a great view of the St. Nicholas-Epiphany Naval Cathedral Complex in St. Petersburg. Great card sent by Anna.
St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral of the Epiphany in St. Petersburg is an outstanding monument of Russian architecture of the middle of the XVIII century, which history is inextricably linked with the history and traditions of the Russian fleet.
St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral was built as a "marine regimental church" in 1753-1762 on the sea regimental yard on the site of a wooden church. It was designed by the architect S. Chevakinsky in the style of Elizabethan Baroque. The cathedral can accomodate about 5000 people at a time. A detached four-tier bell tower, completed with a high spire was built in 1755-1758. - inhttp://www.visit-petersburg.ru

Another great view and picture.
Hildesheim Cathedral, officially the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary, is a medieval Roman Catholic cathedral in the city centre of Hildesheim, Germany. cathedral has been on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list since 1985, together with the nearby St. Michael's Church.
The cathedral church was built between 1010 and 1020 in the Romanesque style. It follows a symmetrical plan with two apses, that is characteristic of Ottonian Romanesque architecture in Old Saxony.
The cathedral's treasures include world-famous artworks, bronze works from the time of Bishop Bernward, Bernward Doors and Bernward Column, as well as two of the four notable Romanesque wheel chandeliers: the Hezilo chandelier and the Azelin chandelier.
After renovations and extensions in the 11th, 12th and 14th centuries, the cathedral was completely destroyed during an air raid on 22 March 1945 and rebuilt from 1950 to 1960. - in: wikipedia
